In a bid to help its creators maximize the performance of their content, TikTok is offering some helpful suggestions. Although the suggestions given are fairly broad, they can still help creators plan out a strategy to take full advantage of the platform. TikTok posted these suggestions via a new post on the company’s business blog.
TikTok advises creators to develop a unique brand with a set direction. The following tips will just be an add-on that will push your content and generate more traffic.
Here are some of the tips they’ve created in regards to creating great TikTok clips:

Go vertical - The statistics have proven that vertical-style videos have the best performance on the app.

Keep in mind the overall stats of the video; don’t focus only on likes - TikTok advises creators to keep track of popular trends in their analytics and avoid getting distracted by the number of comments and likes.

Regular content - TikTok generally recommends that you make regular uploads. The "for you" feed on TikTok mostly shows videos posted to the platform in the past 90 days.

Regular uploads - While it's recommended that you make regular uploads, take note that making more videos doesn’t mean your content will be recommended more.

Keep your audience interested - While you may want to post a lot of content, make sure to keep your content interesting. The longer people watch your content, the more your content will be recommended as it shows that people are interested in your content.

Using hashtags - Make sure to use only the relevant hashtags.
