Would you like to use a popular GIF in your TikTok video? Now it becomes as easy as using almost any music from the library. TikTok launches a new creative tool named Library, enabling you to embed animated fragments into your video. And, to provide you with the first bunch of exploitable GIFs, it partners with GIPHY.
How does it work? First, you need to launch the TikTok app and go to the camera screen. Second, choose Library at the bottom of the right menu. Then you can use the search within the library and find the GIF you’d like to add to your video. These animated fragments are seamlessly integrated with the videos you capture. As a result, you can enrich your videos with various modern cultural references. In the editor, you can adjust the length of the clip and proceed to other clips or your own footage.
So far, the Library by TikTok is mostly filled with content from GIPHY: here are animated GIFs with audio and short video clips. The first bunch of content can be sorted into four categories: quotes, reactions, iconic moments, and people. Soon, though, the most musical social media may add its own content or that from other partners. This other content may include audios, texts, animated stickers, and so on.
If you don’t see the Library in your TikTok editor yet, you need to wait a bit until the update arrives. It may be caused by legal and copyright issues rather than technical. Still, these problems are solvable. TikTok has already granted legal usage of millions of popular songs, and so it can happen with GIFs and images. Expect for them in your city soon.
Do you often post videos on TikTok? Would you like to embed GIFs from GIPHY or other sources into these videos? What else would you like to see in the Library? And have you already received this update at all? Tell us what you want to say in the comments!
