A rather high-profile event last week was the leak of information about Rockstar Games' product, Grand Theft Auto VI. After this, a major police investigation was launched. And recently it became known about the arrest of a 17-year-old teenager from London, and many people have linked these two incidents together.
Over the past weekend on various resources, including forums about the game, about 90 videos about GTA 6 were posted, which immediately spread across the Internet. And although many fans initially doubted the authenticity of the materials, given the very high degree of data security at Rockstar Games, overtime it became clear that the hacking really took place and the materials are genuine.
The hacker who hacked into the company's security system not only posted videos and claimed responsibility for what happened, but also indicated that he had something to do with the Uber hack. The fact that the leak is genuine became known for certain after an official statement from Rockstar Games on Monday. Uber, in turn, also confirmed the hack and stressed that it is already cooperating with the US Department of Justice and the FBI to bring the perpetrator to justice.
Given such a powerful onslaught of information, the arrest of a teenager on September 23rd in connection with suspicion of cybercrime attracted the attention of the public. At the moment, it is only known that the suspect is in custody and there is no evidence that he is related to the hacking of Uber or GTA 6. The police said that all information can be found from their official Twitter. Rockstar Games announced that this incident will not affect the release date of the game. So, it is quite possible that GTA 6 will be released next year.
