Google has revealed the touching ad during the Oscars. It promoted the app called Look to Speak. The app was released two years ago, and since that time it continues to help people who can’t communicate in the way other people can.
The app was made for people who are usually isolated from others due to their inability to express themselves. It is made for people with paralysis or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Look to Speak is the app that allows such people to communicate with the movement of their eyes. The user has to turn on the camera on the phone and move their eyes from left to right navigating the list of different words and phrases in front. Once the message is complete, the app reads it out loud. Last Sunday Google reminded the audience that they have such an app for people who need it. They created a moving ad released during the Academy Awards ceremony.
The ad is a minute long and you still can find it on YouTube, if you want. It shows different pairs of eyes that are using the app. In the end, we see the woman who uses the app to speak. She quickly moves her eyes from one side to another to create a text and provide a message to her family.
The app Look to Speak was made 2 years ago by the Google Creative Lab. This app quickly became popular among people who are limited in movements and communication. Last year developers added numerous other languages except for English so people around the world could use it. It works on phones with Android 9 system and higher. The app is available on the Google Play Store for download. It does not require much space and you will easily figure out how it works even if it is your first app. It contains a user-friendly interface.
