YouTube made a recent announcement regarding its new "Search Insight" feature. This new feature will provide creators with new data, which will help them structure their content to best fit what people on the app are interested in.

Previously, YouTube gave us an insight into its search insights. This feature is geared towards helping creators better refine their content as it will include data that will give creators insights into the likes and dislikes of their audience. The feature will also let you know which search query sends more traffic to your channel.

YouTube also plans to add a "Content Gap" marker that lets you know which search queries had low matches. YouTube is doing this in the hopes that it will help creators focus on creating content that will generate more traffic to their channel, which in turn will help them get more views.

YouTube is also adding an option that lets you search for the most common search questions on the platform based on a particular keyword. Heres an example: if youre curious about the most popular "how-to" searches on YouTube, you can just type in "how-to" in the search box and all the information you need will be available to you.

Creators can access the new feature via the "Analytics" > "Research" option on the desktop version of the YouTube studio.

This tool will prove to be very valuable to marketers just like Google Trends, helping them drive traffic to a particular channel by optimizing the content to align with the popular trends.

YouTube has let us know that the first release of its search insight tool will be powered by data from customers in Australia, Canada, and India, as well as the USA and UK. YouTube plans to add more regions as soon as possible.
